Job description

Koniag IT Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Imagery and Collection Analyst to provide SURF EAGLE remote collection support for our Department of Defense customers. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in imagery analysis, collection operations, and remote sensing technologies. This position requires deep technical expertise in collection systems, demonstrated ability to manage complex collection requirements, and experience supporting time-sensitive operational missions. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree: 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
  • Master of Science degree: 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • PhD: 0-2 years of experience in a related field

Essential responsibilities, Functions, & Duties

  • The Senior Imagery Analyst will provide Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) solutions
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst will research and create effective collection strategies to meet NAVOCEANO requirements. 
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst must have ave a good technical understanding of national systems and take into account the trade-offs associated with specific parameters and constraints required for collection in littoral environment to produce AGI products. 
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst is responsible for developing national collection strategies in support of operational production requirements and research and development transition efforts.
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst will coordinate the collection of information between the NAVOCEANO and NGA to ensure that NAVOCEANO requirements are met.
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst is responsible for submitting national requirements through the appropriate tasking mechanisms to obtain data required by NAVOCEANO analysts.
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst will draft and submit NAVOCEANO national requirements using the Planning tool for Resource Integration, Synchronization and Management (PRISM), Imagery Exploitation Support System (IESS), and other relevant tasking mechanisms to include GIMS, IESS, Battlefield Visualization Initiative (BVI), and Collection Management Mission Application (CMMA). 
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst will have a thorough understanding of the various tasking mechanisms and training and expertise in drafting and submitting requirements using the appropriate systems.
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst will also coordinate requirements with all required organizations to ensure final approval at the national level.
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst is responsible for monitoring the performance of collection requirements to ensure satisfactory collection and dissemination.
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst will assist WSC collection managers in monitoring requirements.
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst will evaluate the effectiveness of collection strategies, research causes for poor satisfaction rates and adjust collection strategies as required.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Work independently or as part of a team as needed.
  • The Senior Imagery Analyst must have a good technical understanding of national systems and take into account the trade-offs associated with specific parameters and constraints required for collection in littoral environment to produce AGI products.
  • Proficiency using various methods for infusing METOC and intelligence data to produce and monitor applications, products and web services that answer specific spatial questions using multidimensional visualization, and modeling methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
