Work EnvironmentThe position operates within a remote framework, although interactions may occur in our outpatient office located in Santa Rosa, California. You will work in an environment that encourages open communication, teamwork, and innovation, utilizing digital tools and platforms to facilitate seamless client interactions and documentation. Our counseling practice values flexibility, understanding, and the importance of mental health in both clients and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct individualized assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapy for individuals, couples, and family dynamics, addressing various issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges.
- Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive, integrated care.
- Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA guidelines while keeping meticulous documentation of sessions, assessments, and treatment progress within prescribed electronic health record systems.
- Facilitate client referrals to additional support services, such as community resources or specialized programs, to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Engage in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to maintain licensure and remain current with practices in mental health care.
This role primarily focuses on serving a diverse clientele, including individuals and families from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will often engage with clients experiencing a wide array of challenges, such as emotional trauma, stress-related issues, and psychological disorders. You will be committed to employing a trauma-informed care approach to create a safe and supportive atmosphere for all clients.
Qualifications- A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- An active California license in one of the following: LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
- At least 2 years of experience providing therapeutic services in an outpatient setting, illustrating direct engagement with clients.
- Strong communication skills, paired with organizational efficiency to balance caseload effectively.
- A demonstrated understanding and application of trauma-informed care principles along with familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based strategies.
- Experience working with underserved populations is a plus.

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
