Are you a seasoned Mainframe z/OS specialist with over 12 years of expertise in z/OS and ISV environments? Join us to lead the way in architecting, installing, and maintaining complex z/OS systems. You'll drive critical upgrades, optimize performance, and innovate with cutting-edge tools like SMP/E, z/OSMF, and IBM Utilities. Collaborate with top-tier teams to deliver seamless system solutions, enhance operational efficiency, and shape the future of mainframe technology. If you're passionate about mastering z/OS, supporting enterprise-wide initiatives, and elevating system environments, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact!
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard system programming activities, such as configuration, installation & maintenance using SMP/E, as well as vendor software installations, in the mainframe environment.
  • Perform Operating System upgrades and RSU maintenance via z/OSMF Workflow.
  • Advanced System Management: Architect, install, and configure highly complex z/OS environments and third-party software.
  • Support Software Standardization and new Feature implementations.
  • Support other teams: storage management, performance tuning, capacity planning, security, networking, and operating procedures from zOS perspective.
  • Work with Mainframe System Programmers staff across tracks to enhance the mainframe environment.
  • Assist team members to solve problems, make innovative improvements, and make decisions.
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements in the z/OS environment. Work with application support teams and other internal customers to facilitate business initiatives.

Experience level:
  • 12+ years of professional work experience as a Mainframe System Programmer in zOS & ISVs.

Technical key skills (Mandatory skills):
  • Expertise in performing SMP/E and Non-SMPE Installation of ISV products.
  • Expertise in IBM and Broadcom Software product installation and Upgrades.
  • Mastery of z/OS system commands, utilities, and automation tools.
  • Operating system z/OS V2.5 upgrades or later with z/OSMF workflow execution.
  • IODF, HCD Skillset to add new devices.
  • Sysplex and config management (good to have).
  • Fluent in JCL and IBM Utilities (IEBGENER/IEBCOPY/AMASPZAP/DFDSS).
  • ISPF/TSO and other basics.
  • Basic knowledge of REXX/CLIST.
  • Designing project plan(upgrades, maintenance, decom) with task list for all stakeholders and communicating the timelines with delivery and customer.
  • Formulate roadmaps with all pre-requisites to achieve project completion.
