Job description

Position Title: Senior Software Developer
Location: Remote (In the U.S)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to be responsible for leading the development and execution of innovative software solutions, leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables
  • Mentor and support junior developers in their technical growth
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews and adherence to best practices
  • Participate in agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific/technical discipline and additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the required education
  • Capable of passing VA Public Trust investigation
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in software development
  • Experience with modern development frameworks and tools
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Tech Stack required for this position:
    • MUMPS (VistA), Java Server Pages (JSP), Spring Framework, Hibernate
    • Oracle WebLogic application server, IBM ODM
    • Database knowledge Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, Terraform
    • Knowledge of VA On Prem and VA Enterprise Cloud (AWS GovCloud + Azure Gov) is a plus
  • Preferred:
    • Knowledge of Splunk, ServiceNow
    • Knowledge of Okta, Ping Identity, VA IAM services, FedRAMP compliance requirements
    • Knowledge of Kafka, MuleSoft and IBM MQ

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs.
