Job description

Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Human Resources Specialist to provide expert Federal Human Capital support in accordance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and agency-specific guidance and regulations. The Specialist will apply critical thinking and business analysis skills to evaluate HR-related requirements, support decision-making, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of human capital processes. The role requires strong customer support orientation, sound professional judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively as part of a team.

While this position is remote, candidate must be able to retrieve government equipment in Washington D.C.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Human Capital activities, advising stakeholders and assisting with issue resolution and process improvement.
  • Support HR operations using Federal HR and related systems (e.g., eOPF, EmpowHR, GovTA, FHR Navigator, and request/service management systems) to facilitate accurate case processing, tracking, and documentation.
  • Utilize National Finance Center (NFC) personnel and payroll provider systems, as needed, to support personnel and payroll-related actions and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Federal Human Capital support activities across all required performance areas or Six (6) years of relevant work experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Federal Human Capital Expertise: Advanced experience providing Federal Human Capital support services in accordance with OPM and agency-specific guidance and regulations.
  • SME Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of SME experience in Human Capital support activities.
  • Federal Agency Support Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience providing support services for a Federal Government agency.
  • Systems Experience (NFC/Payroll): Working experience with NFC personnel and payroll providers.
  • Federal HR Systems Experience: Working experience with government systems including, but not limited to eOPF, EmpowHR, GovTA, FHR Navigator, and request/service systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated critical thinking and business analysis skills.
  • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications/Background/Skills:

  • Experience supporting multiple Federal Human Capital functional areas and handling high-volume, time-sensitive HR requests with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging Federal HR systems to drive accurate processing, reporting, and customer responsiveness (eOPF, EmpowHR, GovTA, FHR Navigator are a plus).
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
