Reporting to the HRIS Manager, the HRIS Functional Analyst Serves as a functional expert for the Vista by Viewpoint ERP system, supporting HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance and General Ledger processes. This position will work with the HRIS technical team, HR Business Partners and Shared Services team to support, maintain and optimize Vista by Viewpoint and any related HRIS platforms. The analyst will define and document requirements, configure and test system changes, audit data for accuracy, troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure system performance. The position will collaborate with end users and technical resources to resolve business and system issues.

*This position is remote, with occasional travel into the Indianapolis, IN area. Qualified candidates must currently reside in the Eastern or Central time zones*
Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary functional resource for Vista by Viewpoint, including system configuration, end user support, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Vista Payroll, Vista Portal and HR modules to end users.
  • Set up and maintain tables/System Configuration
  • HR and Payroll core tables, including Departments, Locations, earnings, deductions, etc.
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend system-driven improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the triaging of integration discrepancies
  • Assist with building and maintain custom reports and queries using Vista's reporting tools
  • Support data imports/exports with the technical team
  • Assist in researching new functionality delivered by the system vendors and determine impact to our current set-up and how to implement
  • Assist with gathering data/requirements for new projects
  • Create documentation & training materials for end-users on processes and procedures
  • Create and maintain system documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Create test plans & testing scenarios based on requirements
  • Creates test scripts to prove each scenario through system and user acceptance testing
  • Participate in Vista system upgrades, patch testing, and new module implementations.
  • Complete data validations & testing during projects and new development
  • Provide secondary back-up support for Workday payroll processes.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities
  • Communicates effectively and demonstrates ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be willing to work extra during peak times, when needed, to complete assignments on-time and meet deadlines
  • Provides well-written and effective professional and technical documentation
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication

Education Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's Degree (preferably in HR or IT) or applicable experience in HRIS, HR or Benefits


Experience Qualifications

  • Required 3+ years experience with Vista by Viewpoint supporting implementations and post go-live support and optimizations.
  • Required experience with Vista configuration and reporting
  • Required experience with Vista's HR, Payroll and Portal.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports or Viewpoint Analytics preferred.
  • Experience with data imports/exports between Vista and Workday is a plus.
  • Experience with union payroll, certified payroll in Vista is preferred
  • Strong computer skills working with Microsoft office including Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point
