Job description

Overview

The Human Resources Coordinator provides critical administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function. This position is responsible for coordinating HR processesย and HRIS administration, maintaining employee and AmeriCorps member records, supporting benefits administrationย and data reconciliation, and ensuring accurate and compliant HR documentation.ย 

Location:ย  The job is 100% remote, however, candidate must reside in one of the states in which Ampact operates:ย  CA, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, KY, MN, MS, NY, WI, VA, MD

Responsibilities

HRIS Administrationย 

  • Serve as a primary administrator for designated UKG HRIS processesย and transactions, includingย new hireย onboarding, promotion,ย compensation, and termination.ย ย 
  • Prepare and process employment-related documentation, including status changes, change memos, employment verifications, and separation paperwork.ย ย 
  • Maintain electronic personnel files and HR records with UKGย ย 
  • Troubleshoot employee and manager issues related to HRIS functionality and access.ย ย Assist with testing and implementation of new functionality.ย ย 
  • Audit HRIS records regularly to ensure data accuracy and integrity.ย Reconcile HR, payroll, and benefits data to ensure consistency and accuracy.ย ย 

Benefits Administrationย 

  • Coordinate administrative processes related to AmeriCorps member benefits programs, including eligibility, enrollment, changes, and terminations.ย ย 
  • Monitor department email inbox and respond to benefits-related inquires.ย 
  • Conduct monthly benefits reconciliation between payroll, HRIS, benefit carriers, and vendor invoices.ย Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with vendors, payroll, finance, and employees.ย ย 
  • Maintain electronic library of benefit resources.ย 

HR Support & Complianceย 

  • Responds to documentation requests forย internal and externalย auditsย 
  • Complete I-9 and E-Verify processes within required timelines.ย 
  • Track and monitorย employee compliance requirements including policy acknowledgements, training records, and employee files.ย 
  • Support year-end reporting and compliance activities.ย ย 
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.ย ย 
  • Maintainย employee records in systems across organizations.ย ย

Qualifications

Minimum Educationย 

  • An associate's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.ย Or relevant related experience.ย ย 

Minimum Experienceย ย 

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration,ย HR Operations, or related administrative support.ย ย 
  • Experience withย anย HRIS systemย - UKG preferred.ย 
  • Strong administrative and organizational skillsย with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.ย ย 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data validation.ย ย 
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.ย ย 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across the departments.ย ย 
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.ย ย
