Training & Development Specialist (MHS Genesis Theater)

Position Overview

Program Management Solutions is seeking a Training & Development Specialist to join our growing team. This is a remote position that will require extensive travel. You will bridge the gap between technical healthcare systems and human performance and collaborate with technical and clinical stakeholders to design, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive training curriculums.


Beyond core instructional design, you will manage end-to-end training projects, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations.


Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Design & Delivery

  • Multimodal Training Development: Partner with technical and functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to evaluate existing training materials and develop a comprehensive curriculum. This includes In-Person Instruction (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), and Computer-Based Training (CBT).
  • Program Execution: Design and conduct high-impact training and development programs aimed at elevating both individual and organizational performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training curriculums, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and educational materials to ensure maximum retention and operational success.


Project & Stakeholder Management
End-to-End Coordination: Oversee all aspects of training and exercise support activities for government healthcare clientsincluding initial needs assessment, planning, execution, process improvement, and final reporting.

  • Project Logistics: Manage project timelines, assign internal responsibilities, and monitor overall progress to ensure all deliverables fall strictly within scope and budget.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the central point of contact for technical, clinical, and administrative stakeholders to ensure seamless, cross-departmental compatibility.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven status reports and progress summaries for upper management.
  • Team Growth: Actively identify resource gaps and hire new talent as needed to fulfill evolving client needs.


Role Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelors degree required.
  • Experience: 35 years of professional experience in training, development, or instructional design.
  • System Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience with MHS Genesis Theater is strictly required.
  • Domain Knowledge: Demonstrates and applies a comprehensive technical knowledge across complex, major technology assignments.


Background & Security Clearance

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for security clearance).
  • Clearance: Must possess an active security clearance or have the ability to successfully obtain one.
  • Military Background: A military background is required to effectively navigate the project environment.


Logistics

  • Location: Remote.
  • Travel: This position requires extensive travel to support client exercise activities and on-site training delivery.
