• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand and address the emotional, social, and financial needs of patients.
• Collaborate closely with medical teams, participating in treatment planning and case management to ensure holistic care.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions focused on adjustment disorders, grief, and coping strategies.
• Coordinate with community organizations and agencies to arrange necessary post-discharge services, ensuring continuity in care for our patients.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options, community resources, and support networks available to them.
• Engage in crisis intervention and emotional support, offering guidance during critical moments to patients and their families.
• Develop and implement effective discharge plans connecting patients with suitable community resources and support systems.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
• Participate in hospital committees, providing insights and expertise related to social work and mental health issues.

The Clinical Social Worker will work with a diverse patient population experiencing substance use and mental health disorders within our Detox Center. This role necessitates a deep understanding of the complexities of addiction and mental illness, as well as the capability to support clients and their families through challenging experiences.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current active licensing as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, mental health disorders, and crisis intervention methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, accompanied by strong interpersonal abilities.

• At least two years of previous experience working in healthcare or hospital settings, particularly in behavioral health.
• Experience with teletherapy platforms and technology for remote service delivery.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems aligned with behavioral health.
