Remote Hospital information

What is a remote hospital?

A Remote Hospital job typically involves providing healthcare services, administrative support, or technical assistance from a remote location rather than working on-site at a hospital. Roles can range from telemedicine doctors and nurses to medical coders, billing specialists, and IT support staff. These jobs leverage technology to deliver patient care, manage medical records, or support hospital operations. Remote hospital jobs are ideal for professionals seeking flexibility while still contributing to the healthcare field.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote hospital administrator?

To thrive as a Remote Hospital Administrator, you need a solid background in healthcare management, business administration, and regulatory compliance, typically supported by a relevant degree such as an MHA or MBA. Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS), telehealth platforms, and data analytics tools is essential. Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills help in managing remote teams and ensuring smooth operations. These competencies are vital for maintaining high standards of patient care, regulatory adherence, and effective coordination across virtual healthcare settings.

What are some common challenges faced when working in a remote hospital setting, and how can they be addressed?

Working in a remote hospital often involves adapting to limited resources, such as specialized equipment or immediate access to consulting specialists. Staff may need to take on a broader range of responsibilities and be prepared for a more hands-on, problem-solving role. Communication with other healthcare professionals, often via telemedicine, is crucial to ensure comprehensive patient care. Flexibility, strong teamwork, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt are key to succeeding in this environment.

INTERACTION 24 LLC

Bayonne, NJ โ€ข Remote

$44 - $50/hr

Full-time

Re-posted 20 days ago

Job description

InterAction24 is hiring for a Patient Safety Applications Administrator for an immediate, high-priority 6-month contract opportunity with a very strong likelihood of multi-year extensions.
We are looking for a true backend IT Applications Administrator who acts as the primary resolver for system incident tickets, builds workflows, manages user permissions, and maintains application health. If you are a functional user who simply opens tickets for a separate IT group when a system bug occurs, this role will not be a match. We need the technical specialist who actually receives and resolves those tickets.
 Location & Schedule
  • Work Location: 100% Remote (Must reside within the United States).
  • Time Zone: Must be willing and able to work standard business hours aligned with Central Time (CST).
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Includes a scheduled on-call rotation for critical infrastructure incidents, which includes some weekends.

Core Responsibilities
  • Backend Ticket Resolution: Act as the Tier 2/3 technical application owner receiving, diagnosing, and resolving complex functional issues escalated by business units.
  • System Configuration & Workflows: Design, configure, test, and deploy automated backend workflows, business logic tables, validation rules, custom fields, and layout modifications.
  • Identity & Access Management: Provision, audit, and modify user access controls, functional roles, security profiles, and permission hierarchies.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Build custom compliance reports, data summaries, and key performance dashboards from scratch for operational stakeholders.

Required Qualifications (Top Hard Skills)
  • 4+ Years of Technical Application Administration: Direct hands-on backend experience provisioning infrastructure settings, modifying core master files, and managing system release updates.
  • 4+ Years of Patient Safety / Risk Event Software Experience: Broad hands-on experience maintaining healthcare compliance, clinical incident tracking, or risk management tools. Direct administrative experience with Riskonnect or Midas platforms is required.
  • 4+ Years of Healthcare Provider Industry Knowledge: Extensive workflow understanding gained inside hospital networks, healthcare systems, or clinical provider environments.

Highly Desired Nice-to-Haves
  • Riskonnect Platform Administration: Direct configuration experience built specifically on the Salesforce-based Riskonnect architecture (highly preferred).
  • Epic Systems Certifications: Active or prior certifications in ClinDoc, Orders, or Ambulatory models.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT, or a clinical degree (RN / BSN).

This is a remote position.
