• Conduct detailed mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations that lead to comprehensive diagnostic insights.
• Engage actively with clients to design individualized treatment plans that consider their unique goals and cultural backgrounds.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), in individual, couple, family, and group sessions.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention services and work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to maintain continuity of care for clients in acute emotional distress.
• Document assessments and treatment progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements for superior patient care.
• Empower clients and families through psychoeducation, imparting knowledge and skills essential for managing mental health conditions effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers, to coordinate holistic care for clients.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes to determine the effectiveness of interventions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Stay abreast of current research and emerging trends in mental health to continually incorporate advancements into your practice.
• Maintain strict ethical standards and assure patient confidentiality at all times.

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with Ascension, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and various other mental health challenges. Our users vary in age, socioeconomic status, and cultural backgrounds, allowing the therapist to exercise a tailored approach that acknowledges and respects each individual's narrative.

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current and valid licensure in Maryland as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build rapport with a diverse patient population.
• Capacity to work autonomously and cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly within telehealth or remote service provision.
• Experience in providing therapeutic services to diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competence in therapy delivery.
• Familiarity with outcome assessments and their application to adjust treatment strategies in real time.

• The competitive annual salary offers a range of USD 70,000 – 84,000, commensurate with experience, education, and skill level.
