This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexible working arrangements that support both your professional and personal life. While you will be conducting therapy sessions from your home office, you will have access to our digital resources and tools that promote efficient workflows and client management. • Conduct individualized virtual therapy sessions utilizing secure video conferencing software, ensuring clients feel comfortable and supported.
• Thoroughly assess each client’s mental health needs through initial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and ongoing assessments.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that address the unique challenges and goals of each client.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic techniques and modalities as appropriate.
• Document and maintain accurate client records, including detailed progress notes and treatment adjustments.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with a network of mental health professionals, sharing insights for holistic client care.
• Commit to ethical practices in all interactions and adhere to legal standards governing mental health counseling.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Cardinal Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse client population facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our focus includes both adolescents and adults, providing tailored therapies that reflect the complexities of their unique experiences. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through their journeys to improved mental wellness.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in mental health counseling, with a proven track record of effective client interactions.
• Experience conducting virtual therapy sessions is essential, demonstrating familiarity with digital tools.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while working independently.
• Comfortable using technology and software programs for clinical documentation and client data management.

• Previous work in an outpatient clinic or community mental health setting is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care enhances your candidacy.
• Experience in developing and leading group therapy programs is a plus.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
