• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect best practices in mental health care.
• Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques tailored to meet specific client needs and preferences.
• Support clients in setting, pursuing, and achieving their therapeutic objectives, by providing guidance and fostering a positive therapeutic alliance.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation consistent with state and federal guidelines, ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
• Regularly participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed about advancements in mental health treatment and therapeutic methodologies.

As a mental health counselor at Soul Journey Health Services, you will be working with a diverse clientele representing various backgrounds, ages, and life experiences. Your role will encompass providing care to individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and other mental health issues. This diversity enriches the counseling experience and allows for unique contributions to each client's healing process.

• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid and active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) license in the state of Vermont.
• Demonstrated experience in working with a diverse client population, highlighting a strong commitment to inclusivity and cultural competence.
• Proven expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness techniques.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills that facilitate effective client interaction and case management.
• A self-motivated professional who thrives in an autonomous environment while also embracing teamwork.

• A minimum of 2 years of direct counseling experience with a varied client base.
• Prior experience working within outpatient mental health services or a related field.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices.
