Our outpatient clinic specializes in treating conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patientsโ€™ mental health status and trauma history, leading to accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, utilizing innovative therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate healing processes and equip patients with effective coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies during moments of acute distress and trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA and legal standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to reflect on treatment effectiveness and share best practices in trauma-informed care.
  • Stay abreast of new research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.
  • Capacity to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations.
