Position Overview

Relieve Trauma Counseling Center is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our telehealth team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health conditions through telehealth platforms, utilizing evidence-based tools and techniques.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address clients' unique challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
• Facilitate regular counseling sessions via video conferencing, providing ongoing support and modifications to treatment plans as needed.
• Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy, to assist clients in achieving their goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or social workers, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with legal and ethical standards, tracking client progress and outcomes.
• Serve as an advocate for clients, providing resources and referrals to community services when appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including individuals battling substance use disorders, those experiencing significant life changes, or children and families in need of psychological support. This role requires a commitment to cultural competence, ensuring that service delivery is sensitive to the individual backgrounds and experiences of each client. Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in a related field, demonstrating a depth of understanding in mental health disorders and treatment methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with clients, encouraging therapeutic engagement and progress.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient documentation and client management.
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities, maintaining composure and professionalism in high-stress scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in both individual and group therapy settings, utilizing culturally responsive therapeutic practices.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and best practices to enhance client engagement in a remote setting.
• Prior experience in working with a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating effectively in a virtual environment.

Compensation and Benefits
