Position Overview

The Relieve Trauma Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote position plays a critical role in providing high-quality mental health services to our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of clients to determine their mental health status and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Engage in regular one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients address conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
  • Provide timely and appropriate referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and specialists, when necessary.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client progress in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and develop collaborative treatment strategies.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary, remaining calm and supportive in challenging situations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or LCSW-R within the state of New York.
  • A minimum of four years of related experience in a clinical setting.
  • An in-depth understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
  • Experience delivering both individual and group therapy in a culturally sensitive and inclusive manner.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with a background in trauma-focused therapy, the ability to navigate electronic health record systems, and those who have experience working in outpatient mental health settings. Familiarity with integrating telehealth solutions into your practice will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
