Work Environment

You may occasionally be required to be on-call to address urgent psychosocial issues that arise within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the emotional, social, and financial needs of students.
• Deliver both individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on issues such as grief, adjustment difficulties, and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with educators and other healthcare professionals to create an inclusive approach to student care, significantly enhancing their educational experience.
• Coordinate post-discharge services with community organizations to ensure students receive ongoing support following critical interventions.
• Provide guidance and education to families regarding mental health resources and treatment options, fostering a supportive environment around the child.
• Engage in crisis intervention when immediate support is required, utilizing effective strategies to stabilize situations involving students and their families.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in professional development committees focused on improving social work practices within the educational setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on students within the school environment, addressing a diverse range of backgrounds and challenges. Our clients may include children and adolescents facing anxiety, trauma, grief, and adjustment-related issues. Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of experience in a healthcare or school-based setting is preferred, showcasing your ability to work effectively with young individuals.

Compensation and Benefits
