Work Environment

This position is remote, offering the flexibility needed for work-life balance while ensuring that our clients receive the best care possible. Our therapeutic team works collaboratively, regularly consulting with psychiatrists and psychologists to provide holistic patient care. While the primary working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some schedule flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs and emergencies, promoting an adaptive work culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to gauge clients’ needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups to foster community and support among individuals dealing with similar mental health issues.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to mental health care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring client safety and stabilization.
• Educate clients on mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources available to them.
• Maintain precise and confidential client documentation, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage actively in team meetings and professional development, sharing insights and improving therapeutic practices.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in mental health therapies to continually improve care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The mental health counselor will work with a varied client base, including individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. Our clients often face complex challenges, and your role will be pivotal in empowering them towards recovery and improved mental health. Understanding the unique cultural and socio-economic factors influencing each client will be crucial in designing effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state.
• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic treatment modalities.
• Proven experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing actionable treatment plans.
• Proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy sessions, tailoring approaches to meet diverse client needs.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Adherence to professional ethics and the ability to maintain a safe, judgment-free environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions efficiently.
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient settings focusing on diverse mental health issues.
• Prior experience using telehealth platforms for counseling services.
• Background in community outreach or psychoeducation initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits
