  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address specific mental health concerns and foster resilience among patients.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each patient, enhancing treatment outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention services when patients face mental health emergencies, utilizing your strong crisis management skills.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, therapy options, and relevant community resources to enhance their support systems.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the highest levels of professionalism.
  • Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Stay informed on the latest mental health research and practices to ensure your therapeutic techniques remain current and effective.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal counselor for this role will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and clients navigating the challenges of immigration. By focusing on culturally relevant therapeutic methods, you will help our patients feel seen and supported, thereby improving their mental health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
  • Proficient understanding of a variety of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and an emphasis on cultural competence in therapy.
  • Experience in providing group and individual therapy using culturally responsive methods that promote holistic well-being.
  • Strong crisis intervention capabilities, with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, demonstrating proficiency in administrative tasks related to patient care.
  • Dedication to maintaining professional boundaries, ethical practice, and confidentiality standards.
  • A collaborative spirit, working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve our organizational goals.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required for this role, candidates who have additional experience in delivering culturally competent therapy or working with underserved populations will be looked upon favorably. Those with experience in outpatient settings or remote care delivery will also find themselves well-suited for this role.
