As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at CloudWave Therapy Center, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to establish and track client treatment goals.
• Provide prevention-oriented therapy tailored to individual client backgrounds and needs, employing evidence-based methodologies.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring their alignment with therapeutic goals.
• Engage in regular collaboration with other treatment providers and placement agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all client interactions, including session notes and treatment updates through our electronic health record system.
• Participate actively in team meetings, contributing ideas and insights to enrich our professional community.
• Foster a positive workplace culture through dedication to diversity, empowerment, and professional development.

Our clients range from adolescents to adults experiencing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and more. As a mental health counselor, you will focus on providing client-centered therapy that emphasizes an empathetic and strengths-based approach. Your role will be pivotal in guiding clients toward recovery and empowerment, ensuring they feel understood and respected throughout their therapeutic journey.

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Possession of a full license in counseling (LPC, LMFT) or social work (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; additional advanced degrees are preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience working in mental health counseling or a closely related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, adept at building rapport with diverse clients.
• Exemplary organizational skills with an ability to manage a caseload effectively.

While not mandatory, personal experience with community mental health resources, as well as training in specific therapeutic modalities (such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)), will be considered advantageous. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital documentation systems is also a plus, given the remote nature of our practice.

The compensation package for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials. In addition to competitive salary, CloudWave Therapy Center offers an array of benefits, including:
