Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological status, focusing on their unique strengths and challenges.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive treatment plans, addressing the mental and emotional needs of older adults while also considering their physical health and social environments.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems therapy, individually tailored to meet each client's needs.
• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to promote a cohesive treatment approach, enhancing the patients' overall care.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families about mental health challenges, treatment options, and local community support services.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with mental health regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on older adults, who often experience complexities in mental health due to various factors, including cognitive decline, physical health challenges, and social isolation. By utilizing tailored therapeutic approaches, you will help clients navigate issues such as depression, anxiety, and adjustments to life transitions, ultimately empowering them to achieve their desired quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• At least two years of professional post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably working with older adult populations.
• Expertise in geriatric mental health issues and knowledge of evidence-based treatments appropriate for this demographic.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach, capable of forming strong relationships with elderly clients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering both individual and family therapy, focusing on the unique challenges faced by older adults.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and a commitment to leveraging technology for therapy delivery.
• Continuous learning and active engagement in professional development related to geriatric mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
