Work Environment

This role allows for a flexible work schedule as it is primarily remote, enabling you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. While you will conduct counseling sessions from home, you will also collaborate with colleagues at our outpatient office in Coos Bay, emphasizing teamwork and communication. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations, to clarify diagnoses and create personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide both short-term and long-term counseling services to individuals, couples, and families using evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and clinical notes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with represent a diverse demographic with a broad range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and trauma-related symptoms. You will engage with individuals and families, utilizing empathy and understanding to create a supportive therapeutic relationship that prioritizes their unique needs and experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in a behavioral health science from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active licensure or progression toward licensure within the state of Oregon is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial/diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining clinical documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to set and maintain appropriate client boundaries.
  • Proficient in managing a caseload in accordance with the guidance of the clinic director while remaining organized and reliable in documentation management.
  • A compassionate stance towards all clients, demonstrating cultural competence and acceptance.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in outpatient settings, particularly using telehealth methods for service delivery.
  • Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Experience engaging with community programs or initiatives aimed at mental health outreach.
Compensation and Benefits
