Job description

Cherry Bekaert's Finance & Accounting Outsourcing practice continues to expand its healthcare services offerings. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to support the growth of our healthcare client portfolio while serving as a strategic advisor to medical practices and healthcare organizations. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex client engagements, mentor high-performing teams, and help drive the continued growth of our Healthcare FAO practice.

As a Finance & Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) Senior Manager, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of outsourced accounting and advisory services for a portfolio of healthcare clients, including complex and strategic engagements.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to practice owners, physician groups, and healthcare leadership teams, providing financial and operational guidance.

  • Oversee client onboarding activities, including process transitions, system implementations, and operational integrations.

  • Review financial statements, management reporting packages, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators.

  • Lead client meetings to discuss financial results, operational performance, and strategic initiatives.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop accounting professionals, including offshore team members and engagement leaders.

  • Manage resource allocation, engagement profitability, and client satisfaction across multiple engagements.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and expand services within existing client relationships.

  • Partner with FAO leadership to support practice growth and business development initiatives within the healthcare sector.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, client advisory services, or a combination of public and private accounting.

  • Healthcare industry experience required, with a strong preference for experience supporting medical practices, physician groups, healthcare management organizations, or related healthcare providers.

  • Experience serving middle-market clients and providing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and advisory services.

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and financial reporting platforms.

  • Experience leading and developing accounting professionals, including remote and offshore team members.

  • Strong project management, client relationship management, and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial information and translate insights into meaningful business recommendations.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, lead multiple client engagements, and deliver exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.
