Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for a diverse patient population, including individuals, adolescents, families, and groups, to determine appropriate clinical interventions.
  • Perform initial assessments of patient and family psychosocial needs, triaging care and formulating individualized treatment plans.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary communication with colleagues through documentation, patient rounds, and collaborative meetings to ensure continuity in the treatment process.
  • Utilize your knowledge and expertise to address the comprehensive needs of patients, offering competent care in aspects such as psychological support, educational resources, and safety protocols.
  • Provide case management services to ensure participation in community resources and integrate care with other health professionals effectively.
  • Maintain ethical and timely documentation that meets department expectations, facilitating efficient patient care and compliance.
  • In addition to general counseling, deliver Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions to assist clients in achieving their unique service plans.

As a Mental Health Counselor at MedCore, you will work primarily with outpatient clients struggling with various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. With an emphasis on individualized care plans, counselors will adapt their therapeutic approaches to match the unique needs of each client and family, fostering a supportive and healing environment.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must hold a current state license as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Willingness to commit to working between 10 to 40 hours (or more) per week based on session demands.
