Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, optimizing flexibility for counselors and clients alike. We utilize advanced telehealth platforms that facilitate seamless video sessions, allowing you to connect meaningfully with clients. As a member of our team, you will have the autonomy to design your schedule within our operating hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with no on-call responsibilities, ensuring a pleasant work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly one-on-one counseling sessions through live video appointments, employing evidence-based therapies tailored to each client's specific needs.
  • Engage in collaborative case management, working alongside psychiatrists and other mental health providers to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Utilize automated tools for symptom self-assessments and functional improvement metrics, allowing for data-driven modifications to treatment plans to enhance client outcomes.
  • Participate in regular team meetings for support and consultation, fostering a culture of collective growth and shared learning among counselors.
  • Document all client interactions and treatment progress diligently in our secure electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain comprehensive client histories.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will work primarily with adult clients, including those from higher-risk populations who may present with a diverse spectrum of mental health disorders. Empathic Insights values culturally responsive care; therefore, you should be prepared to engage with clients from various backgrounds and demographics, ensuring that your therapeutic approach respects each individual’s unique context and needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work, with active licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year of independent practice as a licensed therapist, counselor, or psychologist.
  • Strong commitment to providing culturally informed care and readiness to work with diverse populations and a variety of mental health challenges.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing technology in clinical settings, as well as a strong interest in incorporating digital solutions into your practice.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of recent experience delivering cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based therapies tailored for individuals dealing with various mental health issues.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care practices and strategies for engaging with clients experiencing significant distress.
