Summerfield Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality mental health care through telehealth services. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify individual needs and treatment goals.
  • Provide individual and family therapy supported by evidence-based practices tailored to specific patient requirements, focusing on fostering recovery and well-being.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks including billing, documentation, individual treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms while adhering to specified timelines.
  • Develop and implement crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans to guide clients in maintaining stable mental health.
  • Create comprehensive discharge plans that support clients in the transition from active treatment to independent management of their mental health.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, organizational policies, and ethical standards in practice.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education to maintain licensure and professional competence.
  • Participate actively in case consultation, agency meetings, and peer supervision to enhance therapeutic practices and foster team cohesion.
  • Complete all necessary licensure requirements and mandatory training as stipulated by local regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele comprising individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and age backgrounds. You'll support clients dealing with a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. Our focus on culturally sensitive care means you'll tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, respecting their backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field is required, resulting in eligibility for professional licensure.
  • Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland is necessary to practice.
Preferred Experience

Experience working in a telehealth setting or a strong understanding of virtual therapy methodologies is preferred. Additionally, proficiency in conducting culturally competent assessments and therapies, as well as knowledge of community resources for referrals, will strengthen your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
