In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health services that empower clients to overcome their challenges and improve their overall mental well-being. If you are committed to making a profound difference in people's lives and want to be part of an organization that values innovation and collaboration, we invite you to apply.

About the Organization

At St. Monica Behavioral Health, we are passionate about delivering exemplary mental healthcare through telehealth solutions. Based in New York City, our organization is designed to reach clients wherever they are, broadening access to mental health support across diverse populations. We prioritize evidence-based practices and foster a culture that respects the importance of mental health as a crucial component of overall well-being.

Work Environment

Our work setting is fully remote, allowing you to connect with clients in an environment that is both comfortable and conducive to personal counseling. As a member of our telehealth team, you will have the opportunity to utilize cutting-edge technology to facilitate virtual therapy sessions. We support a collaborative digital work platform that enhances communication among team members, ensuring that every counselor feels integrated into the team while maintaining the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations of client needs to create tailored treatment plans that guide therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide individual counseling sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to assist clients in navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.
  • Facilitate virtual group therapy sessions to foster peer support, offering psychoeducational content that empowers participants with insights and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and enhance treatment outcomes for clients.
  • Engage in crisis management when necessary, offering immediate support, risk assessment, and emergency intervention strategies to safeguard client safety.
  • Stay updated on mental health trends and best practices through continuous education and professional development opportunities provided by the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele facing a range of mental health challenges. Our clients include individuals dealing with anxiety, PTSD, depressive disorders, addiction issues, and other significant life hurdles. We are committed to creating a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their feelings and heal at their own pace.

Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
  • Completion of three years of supervised clinical hours as required by state licensing regulations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training and educational programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a deep empathy for clientsโ€™ experiences.
  • Ability to conduct effective and thorough client assessments.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working as a mental health counselor in a telehealth setting is highly desirable.
  • Specialized training in trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, or family therapy would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with telehealth software and virtual therapy methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. St. Monica Behavioral Health offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
