Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations of client needs to create tailored treatment plans that guide therapeutic interventions.
• Provide individual counseling sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to assist clients in navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.
• Facilitate virtual group therapy sessions to foster peer support, offering psychoeducational content that empowers participants with insights and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and enhance treatment outcomes for clients.
• Engage in crisis management when necessary, offering immediate support, risk assessment, and emergency intervention strategies to safeguard client safety.
• Stay updated on mental health trends and best practices through continuous education and professional development opportunities provided by the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele facing a range of mental health challenges. Our clients include individuals dealing with anxiety, PTSD, depressive disorders, addiction issues, and other significant life hurdles. Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
• Completion of three years of supervised clinical hours as required by state licensing regulations.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training and educational programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a deep empathy for clients’ experiences.
• Ability to conduct effective and thorough client assessments.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor in a telehealth setting is highly desirable.
• Specialized training in trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, or family therapy would be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with telehealth software and virtual therapy methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
