Ascension Mental and Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and ongoing risk assessments to understand the patient's condition comprehensively.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual needs, goals, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), in various formats including individual, couple, family, and group sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring they receive timely and effective support while collaborating with other healthcare professionals for a seamless continuum of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, complying with clinic policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage mental health challenges effectively.
  • Work alongside a diverse multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure the comprehensive care and support of every patient.
  • Regularly assess treatment outcomes to measure effectiveness and adapt treatment plans as necessary based on client progress.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in mental health, integrating new findings into your therapeutic approach and clinical practice.
  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all patient interactions and documentation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve come from varied backgrounds and experiences, each presenting unique challenges and stories. Your ability to provide culturally sensitive and individualized care will be vital in supporting clients who have encountered different forms of adversity, including trauma. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic techniques relevant to trauma-informed care.
  • Experience working in a community health clinic or similar healthcare setting, providing services to a broad spectrum of patient populations.
