Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be expected to perform the following key responsibilities with a focus on high-quality patient care:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs, resulting in tailored treatment plans.
  • Diagnose and treat a range of mental health disorders, making timely modifications to care plans based on evolving patient conditions and feedback.
  • Utilize a collaborative approach to develop discharge plans, ensuring continuity of care through effective communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote healthy coping strategies and emotional resilience.
  • Refer clients to relevant external resources including community services, support groups, and additional treatment programs to enhance outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as specific agency policies and the Mental Health Practice Act, ensuring ethical practice at all times.
  • Engage in crisis intervention as required, providing immediate support and resources to clients in distress.
  • Support outreach efforts by participating in educational initiatives to increase awareness about mental health resources within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population includes individuals dealing with various mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to more severe psychological disorders. Counselors at Bright Health are dedicated to offering a holistic approach to care, which includes not only individual therapy but also outreach to family members and significant others to create a supportive network for each client.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
  • Strong familiarity with community mental health resources and the ability to connect clients with appropriate services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for building strong rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in telehealth or virtual counseling environments, utilizing technology effectively to connect with clients.
  • Previous experience in diagnosing and treating diverse mental health conditions.
  • A proven track record in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
