Newport Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our interdisciplinary team. This full-time, remote position is based in Los Angeles, California, and offers an annual salary range of $90,000 to $105,000. • Conduct thorough psycho-social assessments to evaluate the mental health status of clients, including factors related to emotional, behavioral, and social functioning.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic techniques appropriate for each patient’s needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual client goals, ensuring they are both culturally competent and evidence-based.
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and family therapists, to offer integrated and coordinated care.
• Monitor and document patient progress in electronic health records, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on clinical assessments and patient feedback.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, coping strategies, and available community resources, promoting informed decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards of practice, maintaining confidentiality and securing informed consent from all patients.

In this capacity, you will primarily work with adolescents facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Each client presents a unique set of circumstances requiring a tailored approach to treatment. Your ability to establish rapport and trust with patients will be crucial for facilitating their journey toward recovery and growth.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services to clients, especially within adolescent populations.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency in developing evidence-based treatment plans.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities that foster effective collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Experience with electronic health record systems and health informatics tools is preferred.
• A working understanding of various mental health conditions and the cultural factors influencing patient behaviors and attitudes.

• Experience with family therapy and enhancing family systems as part of adolescent treatment.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Previous background in a remote healthcare setting.
• Advanced training or certifications in therapeutic modalities relevant to adolescent care.
