Position Summary:

The Sales Engineer IV serves as a key technical advisor supporting sales of Smart Room, Virtual Care, and Connected Care solutions for healthcare organizations. This role partners with sales, clinical, IT, and product teams to design, demonstrate, and validate integrated solutions that improve patient experience, staff efficiency, clinical workflows, and operational outcomes. The position combines healthcare technology expertise, solution architecture, interoperability, and consultative selling to drive successful customer engagements and revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

    1. Partner with sales leaders and account executives to develop technical sales strategies and support complex healthcare opportunities.
    2. Conduct customer discovery sessions, technical assessments, and workflow evaluations to identify business, clinical, and technical requirements.
    3. Design and present Smart Room, Virtual Nursing, Patient Engagement, and Connected Care solutions aligned with customer goals.
    4. Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, and ROI-based solution recommendations to executive, clinical, and IT stakeholders.
    5. Serve as the subject matter expert for healthcare interoperability, integrations, networking, and system architecture requirements.
    6. Collaborate with security team on technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and architecture reviews.
    7. Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to communicate customer requirements, product enhancements, and market needs.
    8. Ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation by documenting technical requirements and supporting project handoffs.
    9. Represent the organization as a technical expert at customer events, industry conferences, and trade shows, leads technical set up of AvaSure's platform.
    10. Mentor and train collaborating team members while promoting best practices in technical sales and solution design.

        Required Experience
        6+ years of customer-facing technical sales engineering, solutions consulting, or healthcare technology experience.
        5+ years supporting healthcare providers, health systems, MedTech, digital health, or clinical technology solutions.
        Demonstrated success supporting enterprise software, SaaS, medical device, or healthcare technology sales.
        Experience presenting to executive, clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders.
        Strong knowledge of healthcare IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, and systems integration.
        Experience working with EHR platforms, patient engagement technologies, virtual care solutions, or clinical communication systems.
        Preferred Experience
        Experience with Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, or MEDITECH environments.
        Experience supporting Smart Room, Virtual Nursing, Telehealth, RTLS, or Connected Care solutions.
        Previous mentoring or leadership experience within a sales engineering organization.

          Physical Demands & Working Environment:

          • Must be able to sit for much of the workday with regular walking and/or standing.

          • This role requires approximately 50-75% travel.

          Compensation & Benefits

          • Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year.
