Job description

Actuarial Analyst II | 100% Remote (U.S.)

EMPLOYERS is seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst II to join our Reserving team in a fully remote work-from-home role. This position plays a critical role in supporting quarterly and annual loss reserve analyses, financial reporting, and data-driven decision making that impacts risk, growth, and profitability.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare quarterly and annual loss reserve analyses using standard actuarial methods.

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Claims teams during the financial close process.

  • Develop and review actuarial exhibits for financial statements, reports, and regulatory filings.

  • Support audits, budget planning, and reserving-related projects.

  • Identify process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Review technical work, validate assumptions, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of actuarial experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.

  • Reserving experience preferred.

  • Progress toward ACAS/FCAS credentials, with four or more exams completed preferred.

  • Experience with ResQ or similar reserving software is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with tools such as SQL, VBA, R, Python, or AI-enabled workflow tools.
