• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
• Implement and facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while adjusting techniques based on client feedback and progress.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, effective treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote overall wellness.
• Continuously monitor client progress, documenting changes and outcomes meticulously to ensure targeted adjustments in treatment plans.
• Engage in integrated care practices by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for holistic client support.
• Stay informed about recent research and best practices in the field of mood disorders to enhance treatment methodologies and outcomes.
• Maintain stringent documentation practices that comply with legal and ethical standards to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to foster a collaborative therapeutic environment.
• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and navigating community resources to meet their evolving needs.

You will work primarily with individuals experiencing a variety of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our diverse client base includes adults from various socioeconomic backgrounds, with specific focus groups such as those affected by homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• A master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
