Job description

Duration: 6 month Contract to hire

Location: REMOTE – but must reside in one of the below states: AL, AZ, AK, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IA, KS, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NC, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WI

Hours: Can start anytime between 6am-9am EST and work 8 hour day from there. Must be logged on during peak hours of 9am-2pm EST, other hours are flexible.


Must-Haves:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Pro-Fee Interventional Radiology Coding
  • Experience Coding for an Academic Teaching Facility
  • CPC Certification is Required (CCS can replace this requirement)
  • CIRCC (Certified Interventional Radiology Coder Certification)
  • Must have experience working on the cutting-edge medical technology (unlisted CPT codes, highly complex coding, etc.)

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is searching for a contract Pro-Fee Interventional Radiology Coder for one of our largest healthcare clients in the Southeast.

These coders will be expected to have extensive experience coding on a pro-fee basis in all IVR modalities, including but not limited to: diagnostic angiography, catheter placements, atherectomy, embolizations, thrombectomies, biliary interventions, biopsies, venous access, catheter placements.

This facility is a trauma one facility that is heavy on research and the cutting edge. You can expect highly complex and difficult coding within this role, this is not just a simple coding position.

Candidates must be familiar and trained in Teaching Physician Guidelines for CMS. Candidates must have an extensive understanding of radiology modifiers used to capture the complexity of some radiology procedures. Use of duplicate modifiers, bundling modifiers, and others is required.
