Job description

About Studio Sirens
Founded in 2024 under Snail Games, Studio Sirens is a development team focused on prototyping innovative gameplay systems, crafting bold new IP, and co-development projects. Blending technical precision with narrative ambition, the studio brings immersive worlds to life through a gameplay-first approach, supporting major releases while forging its own creative path within the Snail Games portfolio.

About the Role
We're seeking a hands-on Senior Engineer with strong Unreal Engine expertise and a full-stack technical skillset. The ideal candidate has meaningful experience in console development and/or porting (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) and is comfortable owning features end-to-end. Near-term work includes supporting console porting, performance optimization, platform compliance, and tooling improvements for both internal and co-development projects. Long-term, you will help build and ship new titles while working closely with the studio's Technical Director and engineering team.

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Hybrid in Loveland, Colorado (preferred 4 days/week onsite).

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain gameplay systems, tools, pipelines, and technical features across Unreal Engine projects.

  • Own console development workflows including optimization, platform-specific features, certification prep, and debugging across Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC.

  • Support porting initiatives by profiling performance, addressing platform constraints, and ensuring compliance with TRCs/XRs.

  • Operate as a full-stack engineer: contribute to gameplay code, tools, build/CI improvements, and runtime systems as needed.

  • Collaborate with the Technical Director on architecture decisions, performance budgets, and risk assessment.

  • Work closely with design, art, and production to estimate tasks, scope technical needs, and maintain alignment across disciplines.

  • Conduct code reviews, uphold engineering standards, and contribute to improving workflows and pipelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years professional software development experience (games preferred).

  • Strong Unreal Engine experience (UE4 or UE5), including Blueprints and C++.

  • Demonstrated experience with console development and/or porting projects.

  • Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills across multiple platforms.

  • Ability to work full-stack across gameplay, tools, build systems, and runtime features.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small, fast-moving team.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Ark ASA or Atlas Modkit environments.

  • Multiplayer networking, matchmaking, backend services, or online systems experience.

  • Prior experience with console certification, compliance, or first-party submission processes.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, crash/metrics systems, or dev-ops tooling.

  • Experience shipping titles on multiple platforms or working on porting houses/co-dev teams.

Salary Range:

$105,000 - $135,000 Annually

Why Join the Studio Sirens Team?

  • True focus on work/life balance

  • Paid company holidays, vacation, and separate sick leave

  • Medical, dental, vision, and Life/LTD

  • 401k with company match

Work Authorization Requirements

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application. This position does not offer visa sponsorship now or in the future (including H-1B).
