Hitachi Vantara is looking for a Public Relations Associate to help us support the company's presence in North America. This person is a storyteller who works hard to generate media coverage and ensure proper tracking and reporting of content. The successful candidate understands evolving market trends, maintains relationships, and can connect the dots across a portfolio of data-centric hardware, software and services to create compelling storylines. S/he is a strong writer and communicator who loves to roll up their sleeves, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and PR agency partners to deliver top results.

The primary objective of this role is to help Hitachi Vantara bolster its reputation as a provider of technology solutions for clients seeking to advance their AI-enabled data storage needs. The primary area of support will be for data storage, but our portfolio spans hardware, software, and services addressing all aspects of the data lifecycle, which will come into play. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to use their creativity and story development skills to drive external communications for an established but evolving global business.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Global Communications and sits within the company's Global Corporate Marketing and Communications organization. Location for this position is remote.

What You Will be Doing

*Drive Hitachi Vantara's PR programs for the company's technology, infrastructure and partner program to address business, tech and vertical media (with focus on North America)

*Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with technology and channel partner media

*Develop thoughtful and interesting content for communications opportunities including press releases, messaging documents, FAQs, blogs, byline articles, and speaking opportunity abstracts and presentations

*Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product and revenue marketing, executive communications, customer advocacy, partner marketing, analyst relations and social media to proactively engage on communications content and media opportunities

*Work closely with PR agency partners to develop media strategies and execute program elements

What You Will Bring to the Team

*3-5 years' experience supporting public relations programs; in-house and/or public relations agency experience required

*Experience in global B2B technology, software, services companies a plus

*A strong writer and storyteller that can draft compelling messaging for use in press releases, messaging documents, press presentations, bylines, blogs and FAQs

*Knowledge of the technology and data trends landscape to develop rapid response to breaking situations that require messaging or external media activity

*Demonstrated ability to create high-quality work, calmly and with good judgment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: 60K to 70k. Expected on-target earnings: 64K to 75K.

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
