Job description

Job Purpose:
The Senior Data Analyst provides financial analytical support to drive the Agency Division forward. This role is critical in managing the agency title remittances process, collection of current and past due remittances, and collaborating with corporate to ensure accurate and timely data entry, balances and concise record keeping.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Engage in WFG company culture that emphasizes engagement in our 4 Cs, quality of work and high performance.
  • Generate and send monthly VSA reports to Agents and create internal invoices to Accounts Payable (A/P) for processing.
  • Prepare, send and receive monthly Search and Production Statements and Invoices to Agents.
  • Accurately code all A/P invoices and expense reports, and submitting to A/P for payment.
  • Processing & validating checks received at National Agency Services Division (NASD) from Agents for policy premium and submitting remittance reports with checks via FedEx to Policy processing office.
  • Research and and all discrepancies on National accounts identified by the policy office; validate rates and premiums and resolve issues for policy processing office.
  • Review of Daily and Monthly Aging Detail reports received from Corporate office; submit corrections and refund requests to policy office or agency accounting as appropriate to clear accounts and correct mistakes in submissions.
  • Accounts Receivable collections for policy remittance amounts and Search and production amounts.
  • Prepare yearly budgets for remittances.
  • Calculate monthly commission accruals for SouthWest and National Sales Representatives.
  • Daily remittance report tracking; update Regional reports with daily numbers and distribute to agents and management.
  • Manager the master tracking spreadsheet and pivot tables on a monthly basis after corporate month end.
  • Review monthly allocation reports for accuracy.
  • Review monthly Financial Statements for accuracy.
  • Implement appropriate strategies for motivating team members to enhance processes.
  • Specializes in performing tasks and assignments related to the functional areas delivery of service, quality and or productivity.
  • Serve as point of contact for internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Responds to and resolves issues related to position and seeks guidance for non-routine inquiries.
  • Informs leadership of trends and escalating concerns related to tasks and assignments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, partners and customers both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-organizing and ability to remain motivated.
  • Adaptability to learn quickly, multi-task, and retain information specific to the business domain.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Business or related field.
  • At least 5 year experience in accounting field.
  • Self-motivated individual with leadership qualities and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving/analysis collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history and credit background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, finance or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in National Title and Escrow.
  • Proven leadership experience.
