Together, we push the boundaries of known science and find new ways to connect and protect our world. Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.

What You Will Do:

Today across RTX, a variety of business processes and software platforms support the flow of information from our customers to our factories and suppliers and enable our ability to report and analyze collective performance. This combination of processes and tools is commonly referred to as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In support of the future of RTX, the enterprise has begun an ERP transformation journey to optimize processes, enable our data strategy, and implement a common approach to our next-generation ERP software—SAP S/4HANA.

As the Sr. Manager of Property Management for the SAP ERP Transformation program, you will serve as the primary subject-matter expert responsible for defining and implementing the processes, system capabilities, data requirements, and internal controls necessary to manage government property across RTX. Reporting to the Logistics Process leader, this position will lead the integration of government property management requirements into SAP S/4HANA and the Cognitus property management solution.

This role will be responsible for translating applicable FAR/DFARs requirements, customer contractual obligations, and RTX policies into standardized enterprise processes and system requirements. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing government property in an aerospace and defense environment, a strong understanding of SAP or comparable ERP systems, and demonstrated experience supporting complex business or technology transformations. The ability to balance regulatory compliance, system functionality, operational needs, and enterprise standardization will be critical to the success of this role.

  • Serve as the enterprise process lead and subject-matter expert for government property management within the SAP S/4HANA transformation.

  • Translate applicable FAR, DFARS, customer contract, and internal policy requirements into business processes, system controls, reporting capabilities, and functional requirements.

  • Define standardized processes covering the complete government property lifecycle, including acquisition, receipt, identification, record creation, movement, storage, utilization, maintenance, physical inventory, subcontractor control, loss reporting, and disposition.

  • Ensure government property requirements are integrated with procurement, receiving, warehousing, inventory management, production, maintenance, finance, asset accounting, project management, and contract-management processes.

  • Communicate project status, regulatory considerations, key decisions, risks, and business impacts to senior leaders, functional stakeholders, and business-unit representatives.

  • Lead meetings with business-unit property organizations and functional stakeholders to document requirements, identify common processes, resolve gaps, and develop enterprise-level design decisions.

  • Partner with functional, technical, and implementation teams to evaluate system capabilities, make fit-to-standard decisions, and design solutions that meet regulatory, contractual, and operational requirements.

  • Develop business scenarios and acceptance criteria and lead functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of government property capabilities.

  • Lead change-management activities and support the development of procedures, training materials, communications, and adoption plans for property-management personnel and affected functions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Experience managing or supporting government property within a government-contractor, defense, aerospace, or similarly regulated environment.

  • Experience with government property requirements, including applicable FAR and DFARS requirements, contractual obligations, property-management controls, and audit expectations.

  • Experience supporting an ERP implementation, system transformation, process standardization initiative, or other large-scale business transformation.

  • Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Cognitus, or another enterprise property or asset management system.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience working within an existing RTX SAP environment

  • Certifications from the National Property Management Association, such as Certified Professional Property Specialist, Certified Professional Property Administrator, or Certified Professional Property Manager.
