• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions through virtual platforms, adapting techniques as necessary to foster client engagement and comfort.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that reflect clients' specific needs and therapeutic goals, integrating feedback from clients during the planning process.
• Assess clients' emotional and mental health conditions using standard diagnostic tools, observational skills, and clinical interviews.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, implementing strategies to ensure client safety during emergencies.
• Maintain thorough and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system for data entry and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay current with licensure requirements and engage in continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge in therapeutic techniques.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Harris Behavioral Health Center, you will primarily serve individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing a variety of challenges—such as relationship issues, communication barriers, trauma recovery, mental health disorders, and substance abuse struggles. Your work will focus on fostering healthier relationships and guiding clients towards sustainable personal development and emotional wellness.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required for this role.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Connecticut.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective rapport building with diverse client populations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with couples and families, navigating complex dynamics with cultural competence and empathy.
• Experience providing therapeutic services in individual, couples, and family settings, with a focus on client-centered practices.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

• Prior experience working in a community health setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with addiction counseling and the treatment of substance use disorders is a plus.
• Knowledge of specific issues pertaining to various demographics, including children, adolescents, and LGBTQ+ clients.

This position offers an annual salary range of USD 80,000 to 90,000, dependent on qualifications and experience.
