Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to determine the mental health needs of clients and create individualized treatment plans that reflect their goals and circumstances.
• Administer therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups based on established best practices, utilizing modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused techniques.
• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings to ensure coordinated care and share insights on patient progress.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring documentation supports client care quality and continuity.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, keeping abreast of the latest research and treatment methodologies in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with at Gold Leaf are diverse, encompassing individuals dealing with a range of challenges including stress management, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and workplace conflicts. We particularly focus on individuals who are facing short-term difficulties but are also equipped to support those dealing with long-term behavioral health issues. As a counselor, your work will directly influence their journeys toward emotional stability and self-improvement.

Qualifications

• A valid Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
• Strong aptitude for meeting internal credentialing requirements in community health settings.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
• Proficient in assessment, diagnosis, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

• Background in behavioral therapy techniques and a clear understanding of their application in clinical practice.
• Experience tracking client progress and outcomes in a structured manner, enabling quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
• Proven skills in engaging clients from diverse backgrounds with respect and cultural competence.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
