ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Multi-Site Outbound Fulfillment Program Manager to drive order fulfillment performance across multiple 3PL partners. Must be willing to travel to both Hebron, KY and Bloomington, IN. This is an individual contributor role with broad ownership of outbound operations, including order picking, packing, and shipping execution.
This role serves as the central point of coordination and accountability for outbound performance, ensuring consistency, SLA adherence, and operational excellence across all sites (Hebron, KY and Bloomington, IN) while enabling on-site teams to remain focused on inbound/device processing.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Outbound Ownership
  • Act as the single point of ownership for outbound fulfillment performance across all 3PL sites
  • Coordinate , prioritize and direct activities without direct people management responsibility
  • Influence 3PL teams and internal stakeholders to drive execution

2. 3PL Performance Accountability
  • Monitor and drive performance for all outbound activities:
  • Order picking
  • Packing and shipping
  • Intercompany transfer fulfillment
  • Hold 3PL partners accountable to defined KPIs and SLAs through:
  • Structured performance reviews
  • Clear action plans
  • Ongoing follow-up
  • Analyze performance trends across sites and proactively address gaps

3. SLA & Throughput Management
  • Ensure consistent execution against service level expectations:
  • Same-day / next-day shipping
  • Order cycle time targets
  • Monitor order flow, backlog, and fulfillment risk in real time
  • Take proactive action to prevent SLA misses

4. Network Coordination & Execution
  • Serve as the centralized coordinator across all sites:
  • Set and align priorities across 3PL partners
  • Balance workload where applicable
  • Direct daily execution focus
  • Provide clear, actionable guidance to 3PL teams to ensure alignment with business priorities

5. Process Standardization
  • Develop and implement standardized outbound processes across all sites:
  • Picking frequencies
  • Packing workflows and quality checks
  • Shipping and staging procedures
  • Weight and dimension communication
  • Reduce variability and improve consistency across the network

6. Productivity & Efficiency Optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve:
  • Picking and packing productivity
  • Throughput and order flow
  • Labor efficiency within 3PL operations
  • Partner with 3PLs to implement process improvements and best practices

7. Quality & Accuracy Ownership
  • Drive improvements in outbound quality metrics:
  • Order accuracy
  • Mis-picks and short ships
  • Customer compliance issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

8. Exception & Escalation Management
  • Act as the primary escalation point for outbound issues:
  • Missed SLAs
  • Capacity constraints
  • Execution breakdowns
  • Lead issue resolution with urgency and structure
  • Provide clear communication and resolution plans

9. Data & Reporting
  • Build and maintain a network-wide outbound performance view:
  • Daily dashboards
  • KPI tracking across sites
  • Trend analysis
  • Use data to drive decisions, prioritize actions, and influence 3PL behavior

Qualifications
Required
  • 5+ years in distribution, fulfillment, or 3PL operations
  • Strong experience in outbound order operations
  • Experience working with and influencing 3PL partners
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site operations without direct authority
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using operational data and KPIs to drive performance
  • Must be willing to travel to both Hebron, KY and Bloomington, IN

Preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, SLA-driven environments
  • Familiarity with WMS/OMS systems and order flow optimization
  • Experience standardizing processes across multiple facilities
