Remote Gig information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Gig position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Remote Gig, strong self-motivation, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently are essential, while specific qualifications depend on the nature of each project (such as writing, design, programming, or customer service). Familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, and project management software such as Trello or Asana is often beneficial, and certain gigs may require certifications or proficiency in relevant platforms or software. Adaptability, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving are key soft skills that set top remote gig workers apart. These skills ensure productivity, professional reliability, and smooth collaboration in a flexible and often fast-paced remote work environment.

What can I expect from the work environment and team structure in a remote gig role?

In a remote gig role, you can typically expect to work independently from your chosen location, often with flexible hours depending on project deadlines and client expectations. Communication and collaboration usually occur via digital tools such as email, chat platforms, or project management systems, rather than face-to-face or in-person meetings. Depending on the nature of the gig, you may work with a variety of clients or as part of a virtual team, and regular check-ins or updates are common to ensure alignment. This setup allows for a high degree of autonomy but also requires you to be proactive and responsive to maintain clear communication and deliver quality results.

Job description

Estate & Wealth Transfer Planning Attorney
New Gig Solutions – Confidential Client
Location: Fully Remote

New Gig Solutions is partnering with a growing and highly sophisticated legal practice seeking an experienced Estate & Wealth Transfer Planning Attorney to join its team in a fully remote capacity.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys highly technical estate planning work, complex trust structures, and strategic wealth transfer planning for high-net-worth clients. The role is heavily focused on drafting, implementation, and execution of advanced planning strategies rather than litigation or compliance-heavy work.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a structured environment, enjoy independent technical work, and bring strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and implement sophisticated trust and wealth transfer structures

  • Support advanced gifting strategies, estate freeze planning, and business succession matters

  • Prepare detailed planning memoranda and implementation documentation

  • Translate complex planning concepts into actionable implementation steps

  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, advisors, CPAs, and financial professionals

  • Ensure accuracy, organization, and consistency throughout all planning and execution phases

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • LLM in Taxation strongly preferred or equivalent advanced experience

  • 4–8 years of post-JD experience in tax, estate, or wealth transfer planning

  • Strong drafting and implementation experience required

  • Experience from a law firm, private client practice, or Big 4 environment welcomed

  • Candidates focused primarily on tax compliance work are unlikely to be a fit

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary ranging from $155,000 – $165,000 DOE

  • Strong bonus potential based on performance

  • Comprehensive healthcare and retirement benefits

  • PTO, paid holidays, CLE support, and bar dues assistance

  • Fully remote work environment

  • Long-term growth opportunities within a collaborative and expanding practice
