Job Description:
This position is 100% remote but the candidate must be located in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio Sourth Carolina, Texas, Virginia, or Wisconsin. The Finance Information Systems (FIS) Analyst serves as a experienced functional and technical expert responsible for the administration, optimization, and enhancement of enterprise finance systems. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to translate business requirements into system solutions, ensure system reliability, and provide strategic recommendations that improve financial operations.
The FIS Analyst operates with a high degree of independence, executing system administration activities and initiatives, resolving system issues, and supporting financial system capabilities including general ledger, project accounting, accounts payable, Cognos reporting, and integrations. This role requires strong knowledge of financial processes combined with technical systems expertise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer and support enterprise finance systems, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and optimal performance.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to analyze business processes and translate requirements into system solutons.
- Configure, maintain, and enhance financial system capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, time & expense, and purchasing.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations including testing coordination and UAT testing.
- Manage and support integrations between finance systems and other enterprise applications to ensure accurate data flow.
- Develop and maintain system documentation including configurations, processes, and support procedures.
- Create and support financial reporting and analystics using reporting tools such as Power BI and Cognos.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise financial systems or ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes including general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close.
- Experience administering or supporting ERP financial systems such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into system configurations, functional specifications, and technical solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting complex system issues and performing root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting system integrations and data flows between financial systems and other enterprise applications.
- Proficiency with financial reporting or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
