The work of Panterra Research principally involves conducting opinion research projects such as surveys, focus groups, and expert interviews, and providing our clients with actionable guidance based on that research. We have a long track record of providing quantitative and qualitative public opinion research across more than 150 countries, serving political campaigns, multinational corporations, NGOs, and advocacy groups. Our client portfolio includes diverse technology clients from Silicon Valley, non-profit advocacy clients (focused on environmental sustainability, civil rights, and education, among others), and international political leaders in Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
The role
Panterra is hiring a Consultant to support quantitative and qualitative project delivery for corporate clients. This is a U.S.-based position (remote), with the applicant needing to live or relocate to one of the following metro areas: Bay Area, NYC, Washington DC, Seattle, or Portland metro areas.
A Research Consultant will help plan and execute complex research projects globally, manage vendors, support analysis and data driven storytelling, and engage clients. The position requires strong attention to detail and organization, and effective communication. Initially, this role will support a high cadence brand tracking study in 10 countries. This role has potential to grow into additional clients and topic areas.
The ideal candidate comes with 1-2 years of experience in a client-services role within the public opinion research industry or closely related field. The ideal candidate would have experience with brand tracking studies. Candidates with experience in R or DisplayR are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Successful research analysts will work collaboratively with other team members to oversee and manage the fielding of domestic and international quantitative and qualitative research projects. Specific tasks include:
- Overseeing vendors and helping with programming, testing, and proofing research materials
- Creating research schedules, managing timelines, and vendors
- Assisting in drafting surveys, qualitative question guides, and screening questionnaires
- Managing research vendors and project timelines
- Preparing and proofreading client-facing deliverables
- Assisting in analysis of quantitative research findings
- Building client deliverables and reports in Google Slides and PowerPoint
- Tracking project budgets
- Contributing to strong, supportive, and positive team culture
Skills & Experience
This is an early-career role best suited for those with 0-2 years in the public opinion research field, or who are transitioning from a different industry. Some relevant experiences, studies, or knowledge about the public opinion research industry is preferred.

- Interest or experience intechnology and artificial intelligence,political campaigns, public policy, public opinion research, or market research
- Undergraduate degree
- Understanding of basic quantitative research methodologies, and/or familiarity with polling/surveys
- Experienceworking onlong-term brand trackersis preferred.
- Understanding ofbasic statistics (e.g.,Confidence Levels, Margin of Error,p-values) preferred
- Proficiencywith MS Office
- Proficiency with Google Slides required
- Proficiency with DisplayR preferred
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and project fieldwork
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Compensation & benefits
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 DOE
Compensation will be determined based on level, location, and alignment with internal and external market benchmarks. Panterra aims to provide a competitive and equitable offer upfront based on these factors.
