Job description

Grunley Construction has been selected as one of ten general contractors eligible to pursue task orders under a $10 billion U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) construction program. Projects under this program are concentrated along the southern U.S. border and will be competed among the qualified contractor pool over the next several years.

Unlike Grunley's traditional self-perform model, this program is designed around the use of strong local "super subcontractors" in each region who provide the on-the-ground labor, trade relationships, and market knowledge required to execute effectively in remote and geographically dispersed border locations.

The Program Director will lead Grunley's pursuit and execution of work under the CBP program. This person will build and manage a network of local specialty and general trade subcontractors functioning as "super subs," develop relationships with CBP/DHS contracting officials, direct the pricing and proposal process for competed task orders, negotiate final contract terms, and oversee delivery of awarded projects across a wide and often remote geography. This role is equal parts business developer, subcontractor network builder, and federal program operator.
