A rapidly expanding, private equity-backed healthcare services organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead and transform its accounting function during an exciting period of growth.


This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building scalable processes, and wants to play a key role in shaping the financial infrastructure of a growing multi-site organization.

Position requires medical industry experience including multiple location experience. There's no flexibility on that requirement.


What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely, accurate, GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow reports, and executive reporting packages.
  • Build scalable accounting processes, internal controls, policies, and procedures to support continued organizational growth.
  • Utilize business intelligence and data analytics tools to automate financial reporting, revenue recognition, and forecasting.
  • Develop rolling cash flow forecasts and manage daily cash operations.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Manage multi-site accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll controls, and compliance.
  • Oversee financial reporting related to new location openings and organizational expansion.
  • Serve as the accounting lead for ERP optimization and continuous process improvements.
  • Support acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic growth initiatives.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership within a Controller or equivalent role.
  • Healthcare services or other multi-site operating environment experience required.
  • Experience supporting organizations undergoing rapid growth, acquisitions, or operational expansion.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with sophisticated ERP systems; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Alteryx, or Tableau.
  • Experience preparing board-level financial reporting and executive dashboards.
  • Background in private equity-backed or highly leveraged organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
