Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee complex federal government programs. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of managing large-scale programs, driving operational excellence, and delivering results within scope, schedule, and budget. This individual will bring strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate the unique demands of the federal government contracting environment.

The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact and overall lead for program execution, providing technical, schedule, and cost direction across all aspects of contract performance. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all deliverables are met on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.

 Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and the federal government customer, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring consistent communication.
  • Provide overall technical, schedule, and cost direction for the program, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and organizational goals.
  • Lead and direct a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment focused on mission success.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute program plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Provide administrative oversight and corporate management across all program functions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on program performance metrics, identifying and resolving issues proactively to minimize impact on delivery.
  • Execute assignments independently within the defined scope of the contract while escalating critical issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of program activities.
  • Lead program reviews, status briefings, and other meetings with government clients and internal leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges.
  • Ensure all contract deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with quality standards.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Ten (10) years of project/program management experience, with a minimum of five (5) years involving Federal Government programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct challenging projects and execute assignments independently within the scope of a contract.
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative oversight, corporate management, and overall technical, schedule, and cost direction.
  • Active security clearance (Secret or higher).

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative project management methodologies within a federal government context.
