To thrive as a Remote Full Stack Developer, you need strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end programming languages (such as JavaScript, Python, or Java), web frameworks, and a solid understanding of database management. Familiarity with version control systems (like Git), cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines is typically required, along with relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Microsoft Azure certifications. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and time management skills are essential for collaborating across distributed teams and managing independent workloads. ·    Microsoft Technology Stack: Strong background with C#, .NET, Azure, and modern Microsoft-based web or desktop application development.

·    Agile Delivery and Continuous Improvement: A record of improving software quality, engineering practices, delivery speed, and team performance through practical Agile methods.

·    Cross-Functional and Technical Leadership: Ability to partner with Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps, Security, and executive stakeholders while guiding technical priorities and delivery.

·    Establish engineering standards and promote practices that improve code quality, software performance, and delivery consistency.

·    Recruit, onboard, retain, and develop strong engineering talent.

·    Improve Agile delivery practices, development workflows, engineering metrics, and team productivity.

·    Balance new product work with customer-impacting issues, technical debt, and ongoing product support.

·    Manage staffing plans, project budgets, external partners, and engineering resources.

·    Provide clear status updates, identify delivery risks, and remove barriers affecting team performance.

·    Contribute to the long-term technology roadmap and align engineering priorities with business goals.

·    Create a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

·    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.

·    12 or more years of experience in software engineering, software product development, or a digital R&D environment.

·    Demonstrated experience leading software development teams responsible for customer-facing commercial products.

·    Strong experience with C#, .NET, Azure, and Microsoft full-stack development environments.

·    Working knowledge of modern web, cloud, and desktop application development.

·    Experience with Agile development methods and software delivery process improvement.

·    Proven success hiring and retaining technical talent and leading across functions.

·    Experience supporting secure software development, cybersecurity risk assessment, threat modeling, or risk mitigation.

·    Ability to travel occasionally for customer visits or team meetings.

·    Must currently reside in the Continental United States.

Preferred Qualifications

·    Healthcare technology, medical device, clinical software, or another regulated-industry background.

·    Advanced technical or engineering degree.

·    Software security training or certification.

·    Agile or Scrum certification.

·    Experience with WPF or related Microsoft desktop technologies.

·    Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering productivity practices.

·    Current residence in the Eastern or Central time zone.

Why Consider This Opportunity

·    100% remote position within the Continental United States.

·    Opportunity to lead engineering for a commercial software platform with a meaningful healthcare impact.

·    High visibility and direct influence on technical strategy, engineering culture, and product delivery.

·    A leadership role that combines people development, technology direction, and business partnership.

·    The ability to shape teams, processes, and long-term engineering priorities.

 Ideal Candidate Profile

The strongest candidate will have progressed from software engineering into senior engineering leadership and will be comfortable balancing technical direction with people management. This person should understand how commercial software is designed, built, secured, released, and supported while creating an environment where engineers and managers can perform at a high level.
