Join the growing Warfare Systems Business Group at HII-Mission Technologies! We are seeking a Full Stack Front-End Developer Mid-level (Software Development Analyst) to support the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Office of the CIO. In this role, you will design, develop, and modernize enterprise web applications with a strong emphasis on Single Page Applications (SPAs), user experience, and seamless integration with Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform technologies. You will deliver intuitive, responsive interfaces and robust backend services that enhance workflow efficiency and support data-driven decision-making across security cooperation programs.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections
  • Develop and enhance Single Page Applications (SPAs) using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
  • Lead user experience modernization initiatives, creating responsive, accessible, and intuitive interfaces that improve usability and adoption.
  • Implement workflow interfaces and automate business processes through integrations with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint APIs, Microsoft Graph API, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and service layers to support seamless front-end and back-end integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver rapid iterative enhancements in an Agile environment.
  • Apply secure application development practices throughout the software development lifecycle to meet DoD security and compliance requirements.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support end-to-end quality assurance activities.
  • Document technical solutions, user guides, and system configurations as required.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required to advance mission goals.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and responsive UI/UX development.
  • Experience with modern state management (Context API, TanStack Query, Redux, or equivalent).
  • Experience with REST API development and integration with front-end applications.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and iterative development methodologies.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to translate business processes into software requirements and solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative team settings.
  • Self-motivated initiator with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance at the time of consideration
  • Remote-eligible position; must align with Eastern Time Zone core business hours

Preferred Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, PnPjs, SharePoint REST API, Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and, Microsoft Power Platform (Apps, Automate, BI).
  • Full-stack development experience with .NET, Python (Flask/Django), or similar backend technologies.
  • Knowledge of modern front-end tooling (TypeScript, Redux/Context API, CSS-in-JS, responsive design frameworks).
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications and implementing secure, enterprise-grade solutions in DoD or federal environments.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
  • Experience in SAFe Agile environments, including participation in PI planning and Scrum/Kanban ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver maintainable, user-focused web applications.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods while working at a computer.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment to perform analytical tasks.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in virtual meetings, briefings, and secure collaboration environments.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret digital data for extended periods with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Occasional light lifting of documents or equipment up to 10 lbs, if needed for home-office setup.
  • Must maintain a home work environment that meets company and government security requirements (e.g., controlled space for handling sensitive or FOUO information, if applicable).
