• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients by evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that cater to clients’ unique needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Provide education and support to clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices to promote wellness.
• Monitor client progress, document observations clearly, and revise treatment plans as needed based on effectiveness and evolving needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder treatments and research to continually enhance therapeutic strategies.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigmas and ensuring their unique needs are met within the healthcare system.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, which can include conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our clients range from adults seeking individual therapy to couples and families navigating complex relational dynamics. You will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on their lives, guiding them through challenges and helping them achieve emotional stability and improved quality of life.

• Current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Empathetic, nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for sharing and growth.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills, enabling you to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality documentation.

While experience in mood disorder treatment is preferred, new or recently graduated LMFTs with a strong commitment to mental health care are also encouraged to apply. Experience with telehealth platforms and familiarity with evidence-based therapy modalities will be an asset in this dynamic role.
